Braided Cable Sleeving
Polyester braid is popular for all kinds of looms & harnesses. Its "pushback" effect means that it expands as it is fed over a cable or hose, and then springs back to its original size, giving a tight and neat looking appearance. Lead-outs can be taken from any point as the braid can be opened easily. The hole made will then close around the lead-out. It is available in various colours.
Megamide Braid - A higher temperature braid for use in scientific, electrical, television, aviation and marine applications. It is used when dealing with heat and rigorous mechanical situations. It has a continuous operating temperature of 170°C with peaks of 200°C. Its fumes are non-toxic and it passes UL94V2 test. Type P is a flat filament version, manufactured from polymide 6.6. It is ideal for tough mechanical situations where multiple leads have been extracted.
